Mathes Brierre Architects, in collaboration with HOK, designed the Chevron Northpark office campus in Covington, Louisiana, including labs for petroleum engineers. There are distinct lab environments for Oil, Water, and Solids experimentation with specialty rooms for sensitive equipment requiring vibration and light isolation. The labs have access to daylight and views and are adjacent to workstation collaboration areas. Labs are designed for today’s equipment with flexibility and modularity as their needs and operations change. Northpark was the first LEED Gold Certified office building in the State of Louisiana, even with the high energy demands of the laboratories.
