Renovations to the existing building provide an asset to the 7th Ward Community as a Community Center Educational Center. Mathes Brierre Architects was selected to work in conjunction with Hewitt Washington & Associates and the Archdiocese of New Orleans to restore the building which sustained damage during Hurricane Katrina. The new addition was required to provide access to each of the existing floor levels. The building has the potential to accommodate a wide variety of cultural, educational, and domestic functions.
