LOCATION: PLACE ST. CHARLES, NEW ORLEANS, LA

General Electric’s Technology Center at Place St. Charles in downtown New Orleans was created as an epicenter of software development and information technology. The facility was designed to accommodate approximately 300 professionals dedicated to innovation and excellence. Embracing a design concept that fosters collaboration and creativity, the center features full-height glass walls in conference rooms, allowing natural light to flood the interior spaces and inspire productivity.

The design is a commitment to promoting synergy and interaction among teams. With open floor plans that maximize natural light and encourage communication, every workstation is thoughtfully designed to facilitate collaboration. Mobile cushion-top pedestals and writable surfaces abound, while low panels topped with glass provide privacy without compromising the sense of openness. Conference rooms and teaming spaces are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including full-height writable glass panels and interactive web-based conferencing tools, fostering seamless connectivity with international offices.

The Technology Center embodies a commitment to sustainability, incorporating LEED-inspired design principles and environmentally friendly materials. Every aspect of the space is crafted to elevate the employee experience, from the distinctive backlit maple panels in the elevator lobby to the café-style dining and lounge areas boasting breathtaking city views. Innovative features allow for seamless collaboration and flexible huddle spaces for quick meetings, the center sets a new standard for workplace excellence and creativity in the heart of New Orleans.
