The U.S. Freedom Pavilion – The Boeing Center is the tallest building on the National World War II Museum’s Campus. At 30,000 gross square feet and 96′ tall, it makes a dramatic architectural statement anchoring the entire Museum
campus. The new Pavilion showcases several large artifacts integral to the Allied victory, including a restored Boeing B-17G “Flying Fortress.” Other iconic aircraft mounted aloft in the Pavilion are the B25J Mitchell Bomber, the TBM Avenger, the P51, the Corsair F4U and the SBD Dauntless. To enhance the visitor experience, the U.S. Freedom Pavilion has elevated bridges for closer viewing of the aircraft, and LED screens for viewing historical footage. Galleries in the U.S. Freedom Pavilion pay tribute to all branches of U.S. Armed Forces active during World War II. Another highlight of the U.S. Freedom Pavilion is an immersive and interactive submarine experience based on the last war patrol of the USS Tang in the Pacific Theater.
