Virgin Hotels New Orleans is a five-star high-rise located in the Central Business/Warehouse District. This 165,000 square foot luxury hotel combines a Southern residential feel with local flair as a tribute to our vibrant city. At 14-stories, this 223-key hotel includes single and double guest “Chambers,” deluxe suites, and two penthouses. The ground floor lobby is called the Junction, The Commons Club is the restaurant & bar with private dining in the Shag Room, and The Funny Library is a lounge space. The 2nd and 3rd floors house The Manor, a 2,200 square foot ballroom and music venue, three flexible meeting rooms – Founder’s Room, The Study and The Sandbox – The Lounge Pre-Function space, a fitness room, and back-of-house offices. The 13th floor offers a large indoor/outdoor terrace with a pool, The Pool Club restaurant and bar and The Dreamboat lounge areas.
Designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, the hotel employs energy-efficient building systems and locally sourced materials. State-of-the-art technology, including RFID and wireless smartphone control, provides guests with personalized control of room lighting, conditioning, access, and other environmental elements.
This fast-track, design-build project, developed with Broadmoor LLC, CallisonRTKL and Logan Killen Interiors, utilizes a concrete post-tensioned structure and unitized façade elements to meet the accelerated construction schedule.
